I am a certified teacher in Connecticut. As a Peace Corps volunteer in Thailand, I taught English and trained Thai instructors to teach English. During my two years in Thailand, I learned to read, write, and speak Thai. In the New York and Connecticut area, I have taught at several colleges and universities. Presently, I am an English instructor, teaching developmental writing and other English courses. I also work with both native and non-native speakers of English as a professional tutor at a university. My specialty is working with international students, including those from Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. I have been highly successful in preparing individuals for tests such as Praxis Core, TOEFL, IELTS, AP, SAT verbal, ACT verbal, ISEE, and SSAT. I provide students with the strategies and skills that are necessary to perform well on these tests.
